Just wanted to give everyone some updates on the Eck Family...

We just came back from orientation at IU where Korey will be starting next month. He was signed by the wrestling team.. GO IU and Korey (at least during wrestling season).

Brandon is getting ready to start his Freshman year in high school at Concordia and we are all very excited for the next phase in his life.

Jason is getting ready to go into 4th grade at Holy Cross and he is dreading the next school year. I think if you asked him summer should be 9 months and school 3 months.

Dave has settled back into his job at Kraft and I am humming along at mine with the Board of Health. Dave has taken it upon himself to teach me to golf and what a great time we have. I am definitely not ready for PGA but at least I hit the ball.

Well he did it again. Korey had regionals on Saturday and once again came out in first place! He is working hard to get to where he wants to be and we are very proud of him!

Wrestling sectionals were held on Saturday at Carroll high school. Once again Korey exceeded our expectations!!! What a great way to spend a saturday!!!

Tonight was senior night at Korey's school. Sure wish dad was there to share this with us but trust us he was in our hearts and minds.

Today Brandon wrestled in Indianapolis at an ISWA tournament. This was the first time he has wrestled all season. He took third place in the tournament he was in.

Second day of the Scottsburg Warrior Invitational. Korey went 5 and 0 again today. He had 4 pins and 1 forfeit. This made him 10 and 0 for the tournament.

At the end of the tournament they award individual weight class champions. This is the first time anyone from Concordia has earned the championship. So the team could get back on the road and head home, Coach Oliver decided to have a little private impromptu award ceremony.

Holy Cross sang on the local news today. Brandon is in the top left corner. They also came to the city county building yesterday and they sang for the board of health (my department) and then went and sang for the mayor. I later ran into him in the hallway and he said that they were absolutely wonderful and how impressed he was with them.

Holy Cross had the Advent Service on Dec 14,2009. The 3,4, and 5th graders led the service. Jason was a little nervous about his part as you can see by his face in the picture below he was thinking hard about it!

This was senior night at Concordia. We tailgated with the teachers from Holy Cross before the game and everyone had a great time. The rain made for a cold night. The only thing that would have made this night better is if Dave was there to walk beside our son with me. We miss you!!!

We picked Korey up from Purdue Boiler Elite Camp today. He had a good time and worked on developing his wrestling skills. He says he enjoyed being away but missed my cooking. The camp that Korey attended was competition and take down camp. He seems to have left a pretty good impression on the Purdue coaching staff.
